Attached to the W Scottsdale hotel, Sushi Roku is sleek…and very chic! The restaurant’s decor has a contemporary organic feel – with woven woods and ropes and leather circular booths. It is one of those quintessential Scottsdale spots to be seen. Voted one of the “Top 10 Asian Restaurants” by Arizona Republic, Sushi Roku, pushes the boundaries of modern Asian cuisine with a dazzling array of fresh sushi, luscious salads, thoughtful appetizers, and an extensive selection of hot entrées. Under the direction of Executive Chef Joseph Castillo, chefs combine the finest, freshest fish from pristine waters around the globe ensuring superlative traditional sushi, together with a splash of California innovation. Sushi Roku is a pioneer of contemporary sushi, incorporating diverse, non-traditional ingredients from Latin America (e.g. jalapeños) and Europe (e.g. olive oil) into its edible works of art. Although you’ll be tempted to stick to the sushi, by all means try some of Sushi Roku’s traditional items like 14-day aged rib eye steak, filet mignon or Chilean Sea Bass. Typically, Japanese restaurants are not known for their desserts…but that would be a mistake. Sushi Roku has a pastry chef…so indulge!
